What is “Comedy Party” and what is “Downtown COmedy Club?”

Comedy Party is our label - we produce comedy shows in Boston, throughout New England, and beyond.

Downtown Comedy Club is our flagship production, where we’ve been putting on shows every weekend for years.'

Is “Downtown comedy club” really a club?

We think it is! But it’s not a brick-and-mortar comedy club - that is, a building whose sole purpose is to be a comedy club.

It’s a private banquet hall in a fantastic restaurant, that we’ve been turning into a comedy venue every Saturday since 2018.

Many comedy clubs operate this way! When not being used for comedy, the room is used for all sorts of private events.

Are your shows for adults only?

Unless specified as family-friendly, we consider all our shows to be like an R-rated movie. Minors are allowed with parental supervision, but there will be mature content.

Downtown Comedy Club is not an age-restricted venue, but the content may be inappropriate for minors. We advise you to consider it like an R-Rated

Some venues do have age restrictions, which we always have to respect. Check the Eventbrite listing for details.

Who’s on your show this weekend?

We have a rotation of professional, hilarious performers, and we guarantee that whatever the show is, everyone on it is a fantastic comedian.

If you see a headliner on a poster, then that person will be there closing out the show! We try as often as we can to bring you some of your favorite headliners from New England, NYC, L.A., and the great comedy scenes of the world.

If there' isn’t a name or face on the poster, that means we are doing a “showcase” - a combination of local and visiting acts, usually with someone as a closer. Even if it’s nobody you know, we invite you to come fall in love with your new favorite comedian
